A New Post

Ok, a plethora of things to update everyone up on. We had our share of fun and happy times as a family over the past few months. Here are some highlights:

-Daycare in my home ended! I get to spend more quality time with the girls during the day. It's been great! The best part is seeing Xela and Charlotte play together.

-Xela was asked to be an escort for a friend at the Mr. A.L. contest (my old high school). I found a black dress, made it modest, did her hair like the prom and she was princess of the night!Robert ended up winning People's Choice!

-Flew to Las Vegas for Joe's sisters' wedding, Morgan and Bryan. It was a packed few days. Caught up with old friends too!

-Celebrated my 28th birthday, YEAH!!!

-Xela is potty training quite well, I am so pleased!

-House hunting has been on our list. I know most of you have taken that step...do you have any advice?

-Charlotte is picking up words left and right and is eating a more well balanced diet :)

-Joe's work is still wonderful. We are so thankful for a job and especially with this company.

-Giving Mandi her birthday present meant so much to her and I. Ponies Forever!!!

-Oh, Joe is growing out chops and his hair to be in the "Come Home to Kanesville" play in July. I'm not so fond of the hair, but on his face, the chops look good. He calls them "My Darcy's" (Pride and Prejudice).

-The backyard it getting closer to being finished, just moving dirt.

-We went to a parade and carnival afterwards today. It was lots of fun! The girls loved the animals and the train ride. Of course, I got my hot dog!

-Found an AWESOME budgeting site, OK more than that, it is the easiest, most helpful, visual, comprehensive breakdown of what you expend, everyday, automatically, which does practically all of the work for you. I can't say enough about it. If anyone has struggled with budgeting and tracking expenses-CHECK THIS WEB SITE OUT!!!!!!! It is safe and secure. http://www.mint.com/ Go see it!!!

-I would be lying if I said these last few months have been easy. Such is life, we all get our turn. I seem surprised though, that when it is my turn, it is overwhelming. "When it rains, it pours," comes to mind. I am thankful for hard times and thankful when they are over. And it looks like things are on the upturn!! Yeah!! One relates to the next few lines...

-And...drum roll please...I am pregnant!!!!! I am about 16 weeks. We are excited and I am tired!!!!! Give me mashed potatoes and gravy, a nap, and Gatorade and I am a happy camper! For this one, we will find out the gender (I didn't with Charlotte). The due date is November 1st!

Thanks for reading! Love you and miss you all!

Love,

The Blacks

Thanks for the update - it was great to hear from you again!

First of all, a HUGE congrats on baby #3. We're in the same boat, as you know. I'm due at the end of June. I'm excited to hear what you're having, and it won't be long now, if you're already 16 weeks.

Househunting tips. Hmmm. Just make sure you do a lot of on-line searching, and look at several houses (and start noticing what you do and don't like about other peoples' houses). Otherwise, good luck! It's scary, fun, exciting, and overwhelming to buy a house...in my opinion.

And thanks SO much for the budgeting site. I'm totally going to check it out!
