Pulled Pork and Hollywood

No, not turkey nor Iowa-nor Nevada for that matter. The month of November was filled with fast food and cars, daycare children, reaching of my pre-Charlotte pregnancy weight goal, and a trip to Florida to visit Mallori and Harry.
You know, Xela and Charlotte have hit another growth spurt. They both look a little taller and seem to make a small bound in their comprehension and verbal skills. The girls give me such delight. Xela with her big blue eyes, asking me to smile when I've forgot. Charlotte with her big brown eyes always being the patient baby she is. Both of them ready for me to play with them, and ready for Daddy to come home to play with him as well.
Joe just keeps plugging away at his job. He enjoys it, he's always learning more about bridges, how to work with others and how to grow himself. I have been thinking and thanking lately how lucky I am to have Joe. A friend mention to me how nice they thought Joe was. "He's a good man." I said, "We're good for each other in many ways. We've both had a lot of growing up to do." I am very grateful for his job and personal work ethic. When I was younger I've always wanted to say home and raise our children. This was my dream. And I am living it.
"Then why do daycare?" Some may wonder. We'll for several beneficial reasons. First of all, Joe gets paid well. We are very blessed, and very much on a budget to get out of debt as soon as possible. My extra money ensures we are paying off our said monthly amount. It gives us the needed wiggle room financially since we cannot predict everything. It is going to pay for our next child (no, I am not making an announcement:). And since I love children (I taught second grade before Xela was born), and Xela would like a playmate her age, it is a win-win situation. It fiercely tests my character-obviously patience, fairness and love. (My own children do do that, this is just a fast track to who I want to become, I guess, a by product of having a daycare. I'm not necessarily trying to make my life more difficult.) And you know, as organized as I am, having a daycare keeps me that much more organized.I currently have two full time children, plus my own, plus two part time children.
What about the car you ask? And the fast food? Well, Brianna needed a new car, and I wanted to help her since I had a little more experience. With the daycare and everything else that goes on with life, and buying a car, I didn't have much time to cook. I learned even more about how to buy a car. The one we found was a Miracle! God was helping us!
November ended with a real vacation to Florida. (I say "real" because I got to relax too!) Mallori (my 24 year old sister) works at Disney world Hollywood Studios. She got us in for free!!!! Mom and Dad drove down with us in our van and Laci went with Chris, Mara and Lincoln. It was lovely. We met her more-than-a-friend friend named Harry. He was very nice. They wanted to give us Thanksgiving dinner at Harry's place. Mal burned the ham. (Yeah, for me. The more burned, the better). They decided to turn it in to pulled pork. Yummy. I finally got to ride Hollywood's Twilight Tower of Terror! It was worth the wait in line, which wasn't to bad. We all had a good time in Florida. Joe didn't get to eat alligator, and is a little disappointed. Oh, and we went to the beach too. It was a perfect day. The water was a little cold but the sand was fine, there were shells on the beach and I had fun feeding the seagulls. Xela had a heyday in the sand. Joe buried her thigh high and then they were on to me. Charlotte stayed close by me and ate lots of Grandma's crunch and munch.
November wouldn't be complete without Twilight. I saw it twice! (I walked out on some iffy parts just to be safe and then went back in). I love the movie. I am pleased with how they followed the main story line and chose great actors. Mara gave me the movie poster for an early Christmas present and I have to say I feel 15 again!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Happy December 1st!!!!!!!!
