Moving On

Joe decided he is ready to work as an engineer after he graduates next month. Hopefully this job will fill our location requirements. Within 30 minutes of a Temple for me and close to another University for Joe in order to do his Masters. But we are willing to live wherever. We may have an interim home if nothing opens up immediately (meaning in less than 5 weeks from now)!

I've been packing boxes to be put in an unknown home in an unknown state. How adventurous does that sound? Not very to some, yet I feel nothing but peace! Lehi took his family into the wilderness knowing he would find the promised land. And Moses and the brother of Jared had the same faith. We have the Liahona so why should we fear?

I was noticing that I do not write much about Xela and Charlotte. One reason might be I talk about them in my journal and then in their individual journals. I will write more here since this is a family blog! :)

Let's see. Xela loves nursery and Pete the nursery leader with Daddy. She is regularly seen in a braid which looks cute, but mainly serves the purpose of keeping her growing hair out of her face and out of food. She gave the lesson for Family Night for the first time and talked about Noah the Prophet. She has a water frog named rock and told me yesterday that it was "beautiful." She has a great imagination and loves me to make up stories at bedtime. I asked her to make up one yesterday when she was pretending to put me down for a nap. She said, "Once upon a time there was a cat named Bob. Bob the cat...The End." She likes to watch American Idol with Mom and I'd like to think that David Archuleta is her favorite.

Every once in a while when I watch David Archuleta sing on the computer with Charlotte on my lap, she gets a wide grin and sings too. Again, I'd like to think that she thinks he is a great singer, but I'm sure she would sing and smile to any of the other contestants. Her personality is blossoming. She is so fun to be around! If you ever get to hold her you will notice that almost always she likes to touch and hold your face and giggle or sing. "Mama" was indeed her first word and I do love it. She enjoys trying new foods and is getting the up and down with the baby jumper.

I also keep a separate journal of things the boys do. I think that's important.

Yay, you started a blog! It looks great. And when will you know where and when you are moving? Ethan will be sad...he loves his Primary teacher! (We will all be sad, actually. It has been fun getting to know you.) By the way, if you don't have my family blog address, it is www.thewimmerfamily.blogspot.com
Thanks for letting me know about your blog!

Oh, how I love to read you! I've missed you terribly and just didn't realize how much till I was able to see a small piece of you. I recommend California or somewhere near for a resting place for your family. (mind you I was not talking about final resting places). -lisabeth
